Glances Across the Street

My sweet girl wants to be a scary dead fairy this Halloween. When she got home from school, she was so anxious to try on her costume and wig(she was thrilled about the wig) and run across the street to go show her Best Friend. She grabbed the umbrella (not b/c it was raining, but, because she did not want anyone else to see her) and used it as an "invisibility cloak." while walking across the street. I watched from the window as she rang the door bell and could see her shoulders slump when she realized her BFF was not home. The excited smile on her face had disappeared. So for the rest of the afternoon, she took periodic glances across the street for signs that her BFF had arrived. Luckily, it wasn't too long of a Waiting Game.

Fairy Resting Spot

While walking I saw this small fallen piece of log laying in the path. I noticed how super pretty it was. I was going to pick it up. But, instead, I left it there as it was. I pointed it out to my daughter and we both agreed it was a perfect spot for a fairy to take a rest.
