Haven

Friday nights cannot come soon enough. As a family, my husband, daughter, and I are addicted to SyFy channel's new series, Haven . And when I say addicted, you've no idea. We luuuhhuuve this series! It's like the Twilight Zone meets the X Files. Except, this is even better b/c it is yet another creation from the mind of Stephen King . It is based on his story, The Colorado Kid.
I am a reader. I love to read. However, call me crazy, but I have never been a big fan of Stephen King books. Yet, I love and highly enjoy any Stephen King movie or series. Each hour-long episode of Haven is a mini-mystery which gets solved by a pair of savvy investigators by the end of each show. Each mystery is fueled by something known as "The Troubles" as only Stephen King can invent. However, the plot goes deeper than the weekly mystery--as each weekly mystery is solved it brings the main character, Audrey, closer to finding her mother and solving the case of the Colorado Kid. The setting is awesome--coastal Maine and Nova Scotia with lots of picturesque views. Okay, I have the new box of popcorn in the pantry and now counting down to Friday night so that we can get our Haven fix.

A Mother's Heart

---My daughter's hand and a sky blue cotton candy heart---

"I love you."

"I love you more, Momma."

"No, I love you more."

"No, Mom. I LOVE YOU MORE!"

"Impossible because I love you more because I am the mother."

"la la la la la la la, I can't hear you and I love you more because you are my mother."

"But, I love you more because I have a mother's heart."

"I still love you more, Mom."

"One day you will say that I was right because after you grow up and go to college, get married, and have babies of your own, you will grow a mother's heart and then you will say, 'My mom was right, she really did love me more.' "

"(while rolling her eyes)Whatever, Mom. I'll still love you more."

Boo-tiful Bunch

I use to think those white tissue paper wedding bells found at party stores were really cheesy.....until now. I love this simple and adorable Halloween idea from Country Living Magazine . Buy a few white paper bells, glue black paper or felt eyes and mouth on them and drape with cheese cloth. Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezy.
