Lavender

I love picking flowers and putting them in a mason jar; reminds me of the era of my Grandmothers. I placed this simple arrangement in the hall bathroom so my daughter, who is a little garden fairy, could enjoy their beauty while washing her hands.

A Bit of Texas in a Jar

Is it possible to have a bit of Texas in Florida? It seems that is the case this time of year in the form of Texas Bluebonnets popping up all over the Sunshine State. With Bluebonnets being the state flower of the Lonestar State and with me being a 6th generation Texan, it is a heartfelt pleasure of Texas sized proportions to have a bit of my home state in an apple juice jar sitting on my kitcen table here on the east coast of Florida.
